This unique family home in Notting Hill is simply bursting with character and style and is only a couple of minute's walk from Notting Hill tube station. Hidden secretly behind a secure gate at the end of a little path you simply would not know it was there! The house is located right in the centre of everything in a prime location in Kensington an affluent and popular area that is home to Kensington Gardens the Royal Albert Hall and the South Museum district. The property sits nestled between Kensington Gardens and Holland Park with the fashionable and picturesque Notting Hill area to the immediate north. There is an abundance of fantastic restaurants cafÃ©s and shops along Kensington High Street and Notting Hill Gate which are a couple of minutes walk from you.The ground floor of the property is light and airy with wooden floors furnished throughout and underfloor heating and is decorated beautifully with colourful art patterned lampshades and velvet cushions. Towards the right the sitting space has two comfortable sofas arranged facing a flat-screen TV and a modern fireplace. On the left-hand side is a weathered wooden dining table with colourful seating for six and a unique spiral staircase with glass steps leading down to the lower basement level. There is a working record player with some vintage records for use. The lower level of the house contains a modern kitchen designed stylishly in a monochrome colour scheme with solid granite surfaces and a breakfast bar. It is fully equipped with all the essential facilities you will need during your stay which include a double oven nespresso machine dishwasher and fridge-freezer. Also on the lower level is a spacious childrens bedroom with a bunk bed (2 single beds) and lots of natural light pouring in from the balcony on the upper floor. This bedroom has the comfort of an en suite shower room finished in solid black marble. The spiral staircase leads up to the first floor where you will find two further bedrooms and the shared family bathroom which is fitted with both a bath and separate shower enclosure. The bedroom to the immediate right is a colourful childrens room with a single trundle bed (2 small single beds) which is ideally suited to two children. The master bedroom is well-sized and very light with a double bed and large frosted glass wardrobes as well as a study desk with a computer and printer. You couldnt ask for a better location than this with so many wonderful attractions within walking distance! There are bus stops close by outside the property so guests can whizz around the neighbourhood easily! Holland Park is arguably Londons most peaceful and romantic park where one can enjoy the landscaped gardens or dine in The Belvedere restaurant owned by famous chef Marco Pierre White. You are right on the doorstep of Kensington and Hyde Park with its 350 acres of serene rolling parkland and lake. Within the Park itself is Kensington Palace currently the London home of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and formerly the home of Williams mother Diana Princess of Wales. The state apartments and formal gardens of the Palace are open to the public; you can sit beside the Serpentine Lake and enjoy a peaceful coffee at one of the several restaurants. Catch the number 70 bus if you plan to visit the three South Kensington Museums (only 8 minutes by car).You are a short walk from the popular Kensington High Street which has a huge array of shops restaurants and cafÃ©s as well as a Whole Foods Store for healthy organic food a bookshop a multiplex cinema and a beauty Spa. We highly recommend Kensington Roof Gardens the rooftop bar and restaurant which has a breath taking three-part garden with swimming ducks and wandering flamingos! Notting Hill Gate offers some excellent restaurants such as famous chef Jamie Olivers Recipease as well as chic cafes bakeries and stylish boutiques.Your nearest train station is Notting Hill Gate (a 4 minute walk from the property) which operates on all major train lines reaching Oxford Circus in the West End in just 8 minutes! It also has the District line which is fantastic for reaching Westminster in minutes for Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey.
