An adjoining utility room houses a washing machine and a few other essentials.Climb the charming original mews stairs to reach the main living space which takes up most of the first floor. It is bathed in natural sun light pouring in from the skylights and several south-facing windows. Make use of the huge Plasma TV DVD player and hi-fi system whilst curled up on the sofa after a long day in the City! Tasteful artwork and gold-framed mirrors adorn the walls adding character and interest. The master bedroom has a serene lemon yellow finish with a king size bed and two large antique chest of drawers. The large south-facing windows offer a lovely view of the mews to enjoy as you wake up! The bedroom has an en suite which serves as the main bathroom in this property in addition to the convenient WC on the ground floor. It is fully fitted with a large bath tub with a shower unit and finished beautifully in white tiling and large mirrors. In front of the house looking down the mews is a garden bench for guests to enjoy taking their morning coffee from or even an end of the day drink.Walk down into the heart of Notting Hill along the world renowned Portobello Road Market with all its treasures nestled within the historic market stalls and refuel in one of the charming cafes with a cappuccino and some artisan treats or perhaps choose one of the many restaurants for an impressive dining experience. For cinema with a difference the Electric Cinema offers leather armchairs footstools and cashmere blankets. There are so many fantastic restaurants and stylish cafés on Portobello Road too such as rustic Pizza East and the Negozio Classica -a rustic wine bar with a delicious Tuscan menu. For those familiar with the quintessential British film ‘Notting Hill the street where this was filmed is two minutes walk away and may well be worth a visit. The original bookshop is still there for all to see! The 225 bus will take you to Westfields Shopping Centre in less than 20 minutes the largest in London with almost 300 stores including luxury fashion over 60 places to choose from for dining and a large 17-screen cinema complex! The house is also just a 20 minute walk from the famous Hyde Park and its 350 acres of serene rolling parkland and lake. Within the Park itself is Kensington Palace currently the London home of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and formerly the home of William's mother Diana Princess of Wales. The state apartments and formal gardens of the Palace where Diana herself used to live are open to the public. You can sit beside the Serpentine Lake and enjoy a peaceful coffee at one of the several restaurants.
